Partido Verde de los Estados Unidos

El Partido Verde es un partido político de los Estados Unidos, de ideología ecologista e izquierdista que ha estado participando activamente de la política de ese país desde la década de 1990. El partido obtuvo la atención de la nación por primera vez cuando Ralph Nader se lanzó como candidato a la presidencia en los años 1996 y 2000. Actualmente, la principal organización del Partido Verde en los Estados Unidos es Green Party of the United States, que ha eclipsado a Greens/Green Party USA.

El Partido Verde ha ganado elecciones a nivel local; aunque la mayoría de sus candidatos participaron como independientes o en la elecciones no partidarias (donde los candidatos no eran asociados en las papeletas con ningún partido político). Actualmente, el funcionario "verde" de mayor nivel en Estados Unidos es John Eder, un legislador de Maine.
